Realme 7i

Realme 7i has been launched in India as a new entrant in the Realme 7 family. This phone comes with many powerful features and is priced affordably at ₹ 11,999.

Realme 7i Display

Realme 7i comes with a 6.5″ inch HD+ IPS LCD punch hole display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixles (~270 ppi density). It comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz and has a 90% screen to body ratio. This means that when you are playing games, you will not feel the lag between scenes and would have a smooth playing experience. With a huge screen, movie watching would be a pleasant experience as well. The screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Realme 7i Camera

The phone comes with a 64 MP AI Quad Core Camera. The primary camera has a 64 MP sensor and captures some beautiful pictures. Along with this, it has a 8 MP ultra wide-angle lens with a field of view of 119 degress. This means that you can capture more background and its 8MP ultra wide camera will do justice to the pictures. The phone also comes with a 2 MP black and white camera and a 2 MP macro lens with 4cm shooting distance. It has various built in photography functions like Timelapse, Portrait mode, HDR, Ulta macro, slow motion, Bookeh effect control, Night filters, Cinema mode etc.

The camera can record videos at 1080p @ 30 fps. The best part we like about the phone is that it comes with UIS Video stabilization. This will help in recording stable videos when you are walking or running. It would have been nice if the company would have supported recording 1080p videos at 60 or 120 fps for slow motion videos. The camera can capture images with a maximum resolution of 9248×6944.

Talking about the front camera, this phone comes with a 16 MP f/2.1 aperture selfie camera and has a Sony IMX471 Sensor. The front camera also supports UIS Video stabalization which we think is a great addition to the phone. You can now make vlogs easily with the front camera as well and dont have to worry much about the shakiness of the video. UIS Video stabilization will give you decent stabilization. The front camera can record at 1080p/720p @ 30 fps and supports various features like Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Panoramic view, Beauty Mode, HDR, Face-Recognition, Filter, Bokeh Effect Control.

Realme 7i battery

Realme 7i comes with a 5000 mAh battery. As per the company the phone will give 34 days of standby, 35 hours of calling, 88.5 hours of music, 25.9 hours of instagram, 21.5 hours of whatsapp, 19.2 hours of youtube and 13 hours of gaming (under lab testing). We think the phone will easily last you a day of normal usage. What we like about the phone is that it supports reverse charging which means you can also use your phone as a power bank when needed.

Realme 7i processor

The phone comes with a Qualcomm snapdragon 662 octa-core processor and Adreno 610 GPU. The CPU is clocked at 2.0 Ghz (A73). This phone can easily handle games with medium to high settings. Snapdragon 662 was launched a couple of months back and can easily outperform other entry level processors.

Realme 7i storage

The phone comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in two variants for storage i.e. 64 GB and 128 GB UFS 2.1 ROM. It also supports microSD card.

Realme 7i network

The phone comes with a 3-Card slot (2 nano SIM + 1 MicroSD) design. Both the SIM card slot supports 4G LTE. It also supports 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz wifi speeds and has bluetooth 5.0.

Other specs

The phone comes with a 3.5″ audio jack and has the following sensors: Light, proximity, magenetic induction, acceleartion, gyro-meter and fingerprint sensor. The finger print sensor is housed at the back and unlocks the phone quite fast. For navigation it supports GPS, AGPS, Beidou and Glonass. We think that the company should also start supporting India’s own NavIC system as well.

The phone has a USB type-C cable connector and supports 18W quick charging. It comes with Android 10 and Realme UI. It is avaliable in two colours: Fusion Green and Fusion Blue.

Our verdict

We think that Realme has really launched a good phone at this price point. Packed with a bigger battery, 90hz display and latest Snapdragon 662 processor, this phone is a good value for money.
